Who This Is For If you own an above ground pool, a vinyl-lined inground pool, or any pool under 2,500 gallons, Super Soluble is one of the easiest sanitizers to use for routine maintenance and weekly shocking.
What Stands Out About This Chemical Super Soluble dissolves almost instantly, contains 56% available chlorine, and includes SunShield to protect chlorine from breaking down in sunlight. Unlike many chlorine products, it won’t push your pH out of range with regular use.
Why Pool Owners Rely On It It clears cloudy water fast, kills bacteria and algae on contact, and works for both regular sanitizing and shock treatments — so you don’t need separate products for everyday maintenance and problem-solving.
Who This Is Not For Bromine pool owners and anyone running a SoftSwim or other biguanide (Baquacil) system should not use this product — it’s only compatible with chlorine, Mineral Springs, and saltwater systems.
Description
BioGuard Super Soluble: Fast-Dissolving Pool Chlorine Granules
BioGuard Super Soluble is a stabilized form of pool chlorine granules designed for fast dissolving and easy use across nearly every type of residential pool. With 56% available chlorine, these pool chlorine granules sanitize water quickly, kill bacteria and algae, and clear up cloudy or dull-looking water without leaving behind cloudy residue on the surface.
Each pound of these chlorine granules added per 10,000 gallons raises free chlorine by approximately 6.7 ppm and cyanuric acid (stabilizer) by about 6.6 ppm. The built-in SunShield stabilizer helps protect that chlorine from breaking down in direct sunlight, so it stays active in the water longer — especially important for Oklahoma’s long, sunny pool season.
Where These Pool Chlorine Granules Work Best
Super Soluble is compatible with standard chlorine pools and saltwater pools. It is not recommended for bromine pools and should not be used in SoftSwim or other biguanide-based systems ( Baquacil).
This product handles two main jobs: daily sanitizing and shock treatment. For regular maintenance, the typical dose is 2-3 oz per 10,000 gallons per day (or about 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon per 200 gallons for smaller pools). For shock treatment, broadcast 1 lb per 10,000 gallons directly into the deep end with the pump running.
These pool chlorine granules are especially well-suited for small above ground pools and vinyl-lined inground pools, where the fast-dissolving formula and gentle effect on pH make it a low-hassle choice for owners who want clean water without constant chemical balancing.
Available in 2 lb, 5 lb, and 25 lb sizes — choose the size that matches your pool volume and how often you plan to treat it. Smaller containers are convenient for above ground pools or occasional shocking; the 25 lb size is more economical for larger pools or owners who treat regularly through the season.
